Well another LAN Party has come and gone without a problem and thankfully everyone seemed to have a great time. The weekend started with a new format....the GOR Olympics. This consisted of a mix and match of games as follows.
1: Mario Kart (Wii)
2. Rfactor - fastest lap (PC)
3. Call of Duty 2 Free for all (PC)
4. FIFA 2008 (Xbox 360)
5. Flatout 2 Race (PC)
6. Flatout 2 Destruction Derby (PC)
The winners of the Thermaltake Prizes and the gold silver and bronze medal were as follows.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Thermaltake for making our event a roaring success.
The Call of duty 4 5v5 team event was done on a league basis with one team winning all their 4 matches and coming home in top spot even though they only won one map by one point.
Saturday evening we ran the usual quiz and I would like to thank Kestrel and Mingmong for drawing it up and presenting it.
The usual 'noob tagging' went on with people falling asleep at their computers only to wake up with all sorts of stuff on them. This ranged from a set of drum sticks being wedged up my nostrils and really hot chilli sauce being poured over my pizza....just as well I like hot foot and drinking drumsticks (That's another story)
Chaos, only recently arriving back in the UK after 3 months abroad, was early to bed both nights which is veeeery unusual for him.....the second night he was in bed before the bar shut!!! You need to cut down on that afternoon drinking mate
Amstel gets the daft bugger award as he was doing an impression of firing a shotgun with a beer in his hand and chucked it all over himself, much to the amusement of the rest of the gang.
On a final note I would like to say thanks to Annie, Di and everyone else that stayed to help set up, it's always appreciated. I would also like to big a huge thanks for Dazzler who cooked breakfast for everyone on both mornings and rasied £50 for BIBIC charity.
